Attendees:

We reviewed the events planned for the rest of the year:

1. Silent Auction Update (Stacey):
- Open House scheduled for 4/11, online auction will start then through the rest of the week.
- Letters describing activities will be available next week, explaining many ways in which parents can help with the event.
- This year, there will also be a live auction on Wednesday's family dinner night.
- New ways to structure bid items this year, such as packaging several gift certificates together, etc.
- Stacey will also share list of top items from last two years.
- Stacey will also provide help sign ups as we get closer to the date (usually the Friday before open house).

2. Family Sledding Event (Donna):
- Date decide for Jan 30th, 9:30-11:30am.
- Lynn to confirm date is OK.
- Posters will be made (involve BKC or K classes).
- Sign Up sheets will be posted by each classroom, and online on PTO home page.
- Will also post Volunteer signup sheets. Will specify several timeslots so everyone gets a chance to enjoy the event with their respective family.
- Will provide hot cocoa and arts/crafts.

3. Steve Blunt Event (Donna will talk to Kristen to drive the effort):
- Tentative date: Saturday am in March, except for March 13th. April OK, too, except for last week (Elementary vacation).
- Kristen will talk to Ms Naomi to try to bring Steve Blunt.
- Event will be open to both smallWorld and Elementary families, though we will have targeted advertisement/announcment in the Smallworld wing.

4. Spring Dance (Trish).
- In earlier meetings, there'd been talks that student council wanted another dance in the spring.
- Trish to talk to Mrs Kirk and Mrs Dubois to confirm that's in their plan for the rest of the year.
- Need to finalize date.

5. Staff Appreciation Lunch (Zakia).
- Part of week of the young activities. WIll be held on Friday 4/16th.
- Theme 'world food', catered/provided by parents.
- Will start requesting volunteers for international dishes ahead of time, and put together a 'menu'.
- Discussed option of having Staff pre-select their choices for entree/dessert ahead of time, to help plan for quantities.
- Discussed option to pre-package the lunches, so there is enough for the people who have late lunches.
- Need to close on where the lunch will be setup. Staff room is too small. One suggestion made was old french room.

6. Parents "Yard Sale"
- Parents expressed interest in having a forum to exchange/sell goods, especially as childre outgrow their seasonal gear and toys. 
- Different options discussed.
- Yard sale on school property in spring.
- bulletin board by Kitchen window to post ads.
- Online parents bulletin board (Zakia still investigating feasibility).
- Martha will check if any of the above are feasible.

7. End of Year event:
- Need owner.
- Shaved Ice
- Restrict flavors by having classrooms pre-order their selections.
- So we can easily get them served as each classroom comes up for theirs.
