1. Winter Sledding was a success - great turnout: 80 adults/80 children signed up before the event, even more showed up. - quality family socializing time in the great room after sledding. - time of event was a good choice, before hill gets crowded. 2. Spring Bowling planning - Updates from Debbie. - Sat May (16th); Also do it as an AM event. - Cost: PTO will provide crafs for younger kids & drinks, participants will pay for 1 hour of bowing and shoe rentals @ discounted $5. - Regular LeadLanes provided much better deals that their newer LightHouse glowBowling room, usually busy on weekends. - LedaLanes: $5/hr (6kids / lane) - If turnout similar to Sledding day, could use up to 15 lanes. - Per LedaLane folks, should plan for no more than 1hr of bowling for kids (get tired of it after that). - We'll have crafts in party room for younger children not bowling. - We'll reserve 1 lane with 2 shifts for younger children. - ACTION: Follow up questions (Debbie will check): - Do we get access to a party room as part of the deal? - How much in advance do we need to reserve the #lanes needed? - Can we bring our own food (snacks/drinks), if not, what's available/cost? - Can they setup bumper lanes in 1 or 2 lanes? - How will WE family be identified there? Discussed option of having a PTO table for onsite registration. 3. Budget: Doing OK. After paying for PTO pizza, and other expenses, we expect to be able to provide crafts/snacks at Family bowling day, provide the end of year Ice Cream social and also have an additional balance to do something else.
