Admissions

The World Schools admit students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin, or sex, to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities available at the school. The school does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national or ethnic origin, or sex in the administration of its educational or admissions policies. Students with disabilities will be accommodated to the extent of the facilities and resources available.

World Elementary seeks to attract bright students and families whose varied interests, aptitudes, talents, motivation and character will enable them to undertake and master the school's program with enthusiasm and success. Since it is our goal to provide an enriched environment that will foster social, intellectual, physical and emotional growth for all of our children, we feel the needs of the child and wishes of the parent are of ultimate importance in the admission process.

At the time of registration a non-refundable registration fee is due. A re-registration fee is due each year in February for all children who currently attend and wish to return for the upcoming year. Upon registering all forms must be received 48 hours prior to the child starting in the program. This visit also gives us the opportunity to learn more about your child, family, and expectations. Once your tour is completed a registration form or Waiting List application will be made available to you, based on our availability in the program.

Early Admission Policy
Children entering our elementary program must meet minimum age requirements, as set forth by the state of New Hampshire. For example, children who turn 5 years of age before October 1st of the academic year may be admitted into our Kindergarten program. Children who turn 6 years of age before October 1st may be admitted into Grade 1. If your child does not meet these minimum age requirements, we do consider children for early admission.

Early admission applicants are reviewed by the administration on a case-by-case basis. Determination will be based on the results of testing (which can be accessed here for a fee) to assess the appropriate capabilities and placement of the child, as well as, the suitability of our resources to optimally address the child's needs.

New Student Admission Process
For children transferring to our school from another school or program, a New Student Application must be completed and returned with a $50 non-refundable application fee. We also request all available data, including educational assessments and reports, medical/developmental records and testing/anecdotal information to get a "whole" picture of the student and his/her capabilities.

Upon receipt of your application, we will schedule a testing date for your child. All students entering our elementary program must take an assessment test that is developmentally and academically appropriate for his/her grade and age level so we can establish baseline information for placement. After evaluating the results of the assessment test along with the student's other records we will meet with parents to discuss the child's probability for achievement and growth in our school. It is at this meeting that parents will be notified of their child's acceptance into our program. We feel this admissions process works in the very best interest of the child to maximize his/her potential for success.
