While undergoing accreditation from the New England Association of Schools and Colleges, the school has embraced this initiative to address demand to maintain a quality program, remain on the cutting edge of new research findings, promoting best teaching practices and advocate for the school's mission.

World Academy is pleased to announce the appointment of four members to officer positions on the Advisory Board.  Members will serve two-year, renewable terms, working to fill any gaps in management expertise, advising on diversity, evaluating courses of action, providing insights and being resources for the school.

 

Gina McCulloch, World Academy Advisory Board Chair, is currently the Northern New England Regional Manager at Mortgage Network.  She has been in the banking industry for over 29 years and also served for 3 years on the Board of Governors for the NH Mortgage Bankers Association.  She has been an integral advisor to the school and looks forward to helping guide the school in its goals for the next few years.   Gina currently resides in Bedford, NH with her husband and two children, who are alumni of World Academy, one a middle school student and the other enrolled at Simmons College in Boston, MA.

 

 

 

Joseph Carelli, World Academy Advisory Board Vice Chair,  has over 29 years of experience in the banking industry and is currently the Executive Vice President of Commercial lending, Citizens Bank, Manchester, NH.  In this position he is responsible for directing all aspects of Citizens’ commercial banking business throughout northern New England and oversees the operations of lending offices throughout NH, Maine and Vermont.  He is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts and holds degrees in Finance and Accounting.  Joe has been an integral advisor to the school for years and has been a member of the Advisory Board since its inception in 2007.  A father of three who resides in Hollis, NH Joe looks forward to using his expertise to help guide the school in its goals for the next few years in this new position.

 

John Stowell , World Academy Advisory Board Treasurer, is Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Viaflo Corporation located in Hudson, NH.  Prior to 2005, John was Vice President & Chief Financial Officer of Matrix Technologies Corporation and was responsible for all financial reporting functions, Information Technology and Human Resources.   He holds Bachelors degrees in Business Management and Accounting from Franklin Pierce College and is also a Certified Public Accountant.  He currently resides in Hollis, NH with his wife and two children, and looks forward to helping the school meet their financial goals in his new officer position.

 

Ann Cohen, World Academy Advisory Board Secretary is also the retired Technology Director and part-time administrator at the school.  She is also a former member of the Board of Education in Nashua and a tireless advocate for children.  She is the mother of an adult daughter and currently resides in Nashua with her husband. 

 

 

Commenting on the appointments, Executive Director of The World Schools, Kathleen Nelson said, “We are very pleased to announce the new officers for our Advisory Board.  Our board’s focus for the coming years will be to advocate for develop and support The World Schools.  We welcome the Board’s wide experience in the business world and are eager to utilize their range of expertise to grow the student population and awareness of our facility and comprehensive programs through Grade 8.”

 

Members of 2010-2011 World Academy Advisory Board

Michael Chung is a managing partner of CFZ Investments.  Prior to 2006, he has over two decades of experience building businesses, products and services for telecommunications and defense companies in domestic and international markets.  He served for five years in the U. S. Air Force (Rank of Captain) and holds and MBA from Rivier College, a MSEE from the University of Utah and a BSEE from the University of Hawaii.  He currently resides in Nashua, with his wife and son, who is an alumni of World Academy.

 

Steven Negron is the President and CEO of Integron LLC, a small minority, disadvantaged, veteran owned company.  Steve is a retired Air Force Officer and has many years of experience in business development with Lockheed Martin.  He earned a BS in Criminal Justice at Texas Christian University and later his MBA from Western New England College.  Steve currently resides in Nashua with his wife and three children (all who are alumni of World Academy) where he is active in Destination Imagination, wrestling and Little League baseball.

 

Esther Ross is the Special Services Director for World Academy and is a tireless child advocate.  She has held her teaching certificate for 43 years and is certified as an educational advocate.  She is a newly published author (Fast Track for Caregivers) and also offers resources and her expertise as a consultant to schools, families, agencies, schools, hospitals and physicians in order to provide high caliber special education to children in the State of New Hampshire.

 

Matthew Ladd is the CEO of Sakonnet Associates located in Little Compton, RI.  He has been a part of the school as a contractor who helped to build the facility on Spit Brook Road, and as a parent of two former students. 

 

 

 

 

Lynn Ouellette is the long-time Director of World Academy, a beloved part of the school for 29 of its 30 years.  Throughout the years, she has worked in various capacities but has found a love for being an initial point of contact for new and existing World Academy families.  She resides in Nashua and is a mother of two – Peter, a current college student and former World Academy student, and a current Middle School student. 


 

Martha Maye began her career at World Academy in 1997 as a teacher in
the afterschool program and summer camp.   She is a member of the Advisory
Board and our Staff Director since 2007.  For 22 years she was a
kindergarten teacher at a private school in Hudson, NH where she resides
with her husband.  She is the mother of three grown children and "Nana" to
two grandsons!

 

Geoff Lynch is the owner of Lynch’s Landscaping, a small full service landscape company located in Nashua, NH.   He consults on many of the schools outdoor projects and helps to keep the school running smoothly during inclement weather.
